Indiana Pacers Announce 2023-24 Roster
New Additions and Roster Changes
The Indiana Pacers have unveiled their roster for the upcoming 2023-24 NBA season, featuring several key additions and roster changes.The Pacers have added veteran forward Myles Turner from the Los Angeles Lakers. Turner, a three-time NBA All-Defensive Team selection, will provide interior defense and rebounding for Indiana.
Another new addition is point guard Tyrese Haliburton, acquired from the Sacramento Kings. Haliburton is a rising star who has averaged 16.6 points and 8.7 assists per game over the last two seasons.
The Pacers have also added rookie center Jalen Duren, who was drafted 13th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft. Duren is a promising big man with excellent defensive potential and rebounding instincts.
Some notable departures from the roster include center Domantas Sabonis, who was traded to the Sacramento Kings, and guard Caris LeVert, who was traded to the Chicago Bulls.
Coaching Staff Additions
In addition to the roster changes, the Pacers have also announced the completion of their coaching staff for the 2023-24 season.
Head coach Rick Carlisle has added several new assistants, including former NBA player Jason Terry and former Cleveland Cavaliers assistant coach Antonio Lang. These additions will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the Pacers' coaching team.
The Pacers are optimistic that the additions to their roster and coaching staff will help them improve upon their 35-47 record from last season.
