Trinbago Knight Riders Sign Chris Jordan as Replacement for Injured Ali Khan
Knight Riders Bolster Bowling Attack with Experienced English Pacer
The Trinbago Knight Riders have announced the signing of experienced English pacer Chris Jordan as a replacement for the injured Ali Khan for the remainder of the 2024 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) season.
Jordan's Experience and Credentials
Jordan is a seasoned campaigner in T20 cricket, having played for several franchises around the world, including the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
The 34-year-old right-arm quick is known for his accurate yorkers and slower variations, making him a potent weapon at the death for any bowling attack.
Khan's Absence and Jordan's Role
Ali Khan, a young fast bowler from Pakistan, was ruled out of the tournament due to a side strain, leaving a void in the Knight Riders' bowling lineup.
Jordan is expected to fill that void, providing the Knight Riders with a reliable death bowler and an experienced hand to guide the younger bowlers in the team.
Knight Riders' Title Defense
The Trinbago Knight Riders are the defending champions of the CPL, having won the title in 2022. They will be looking to retain their crown with a strong bowling attack led by Jordan, Ravi Rampaul, and Khary Pierre.
The Knight Riders will begin their CPL 2024 campaign on August 29 against the Barbados Royals at the Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain.
